At Airomax, we work with systems that use F-Gas, which is the common name for fluorinated greenhouse gases. These are man-made gases used in air conditioning, refrigeration, heat pump systems and other cooling equipment found in homes and businesses.
There are several types of F-Gas, including hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SF₆). The most widely used are HFCs, which account for around 90% of F-Gases currently in use within cooling and refrigeration systems.
F-Gas regulations are essential because these gases can seriously harm the environment if not properly controlled. At Airomax, we follow these rules to reduce environmental impact and ensure safe handling.
F-gases have a high global warming potential, meaning they trap heat far more effectively than carbon dioxide and contribute to climate change. Once released, they can remain in the atmosphere for many years, continuing to cause damage. Some older F-gases can also harm the ozone layer, which protects people and the environment from harmful ultraviolet radiation.

We provide a repair warranty and guarantee on all air conditioning repairs we complete. Repair warranties are for either 6 or 12 months, depending on the unit’s age and manufacturer. Where repairs involve liaising with the air conditioning manufacturer, we pass on the warranty they provide.
All air conditioning systems we supply are A+++ rated, meaning they are highly energy efficient and can help reduce both energy costs and CO₂ emissions.
During a routine air conditioning service, a range of health checks are carried out, filters are cleaned, and the system is checked for leaks to help reduce the risk of faults.
At Airomax, we recommend regular air conditioning maintenance to keep your system running at peak performance, just like servicing a car. An annual air conditioning service improves energy efficiency, extends the lifespan of your system, and for new Airomax installations, helps maintain eligibility for extended manufacturer warranties.
